From London, all trains leave regularly from Kings Cross. Travel time is approximately 4.5 hrs (fast train). For the latest times and fares contact National Rail Inquiries 0345 48 49 50.
An alternative is to fly to Edinburgh or Glasgow. A regular bus transfer will be needed from Glasgow (approx. 1 hr) For information on British Airways flights see their web site. Of course EasyJet now fly to Edinburgh and Glasgow from European destinations and have some fantastic deals.
